30 Years Apart

My uniform goes back to the stores tomorrow so I thought I'd try it on one last time. Amazingly, I can still get into it, which was a pleasant surprise as I haven't worn it in 11 years. The helmet is still the size of a milk bucket though. Here are two photos separated by 30 years (and around three stones):

If I'd been able to get into the uniform on the left, that would have been impressive.

Why are you wearing eyeliner in the most recent photo...and what looks like fake tan also? Not so much Village Bobby as Village People Bobby...Ha,ha,ha

Naturally, you look far more handsome in the more recent photo than you do in the earlier one! There's something about a man in uniform, eh? Especially one with a bit of character in his face. (Am now registering with anti-flirt Summer School). x

The eighties was a great and wonderful era to have grown up in or lived in!

Thank you for 30 years of service.

People talk about the Armed Service but forget about the Men & women who protect & help us 24/7 in this country.

Good luck with your retirement....although I have feeling you'll be just as busy.
