Forget traffic chaos - This is what snow is for

Of course, the best thing of all about snow is that everybody's garden, no matter how run-down, desolate or overgrown, looks absolutely gorgeous.

Man it's been AGES since I've played in the snow. Usually I just whine about it.

Yes it's a great leveler of gardens! I spoke to my mum and she said it's pretty bad in your area!

Surry and Sarah - It's somewhat of a novelty for me too. I grew up in Cornwall which is a lot milder than a lot of the UK and barely ever saw snow as a kid. But even here in the South East it's a rarity. I'll admit that it looks very pretty when it first arrives but I wish the damn stuff would hurry up and go now. Firstly, it causes chaos and injury. Secondly, now the cars and pedestrians (and dogs)have churned it all up it's far from pretty any more.

I was in Londen a couple of times during 1990/1991, I have been told that was the last time it snowed(?)but I'm not sure.
I loved walking through the white gardens seeing the statues with the ice crystals.

Moley - To be honest ... I can't remember! I work in London and it's very rare we get snow there. But I live around 35 miles to the west where the Chilterns meets the Cotswolds and we always have snow a couple of days a year. Never anything like this usually. Although this is, frankly, a bit pathetic compared to most other places!
